Homelessness Support Enquiry
Before you begin this form
You are about to submit a homelessness support enquiry, to advice and assistance. This form can be completed:
- by yourself (with support if needed)
- by a professional, as part of a legal Duty to refer
This form usually takes 15 to 30 minutes to complete, depending on amount of information we need to understand your situation.
Important to know
Submitting this enquiry does not automatically mean that a homelessness application will be opened or progressed.This form allows us to understand your circumstances and determine:
- what advice or support may be available
- whether a homelessness application may be appropriate
Where necessary, we will discuss next steps with you before progressing any formal application.
What happens next?
The council can provide different types of support depending on your circumstance. Once you have submitted this enquiry, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your situation and any support you may need.
Please note that online enquiries are processed during working hours only:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:45am–5pm
- Friday: 8:45am–4pm

Information you provide
Please ensure the information you provide is accurate and complete. For a housing application under Section 214, Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996, it is a criminal offence to:
- make a false statement
- knowingly withhold relevant information
- fail to notify the council of a change in circumstances
